Licenseware @ Oracle Cloud World Tour 🇬🇧 London

Yesterday marked a fantastic day at Oracle Cloud World Tour London! It’s incredible how far we’ve come—just a few years ago, I attended this very event to introduce Licenseware to potential sponsors. Fast forward to today, many of those sponsors have become our valued clients and partners. Moments like these remind me of why we do what we do!

It was great connecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones alongside Will Allmey. Networking aside, here’s a friendly piece of advice for anyone attending business conferences: avoid doing an intense 10k run and gym session shortly before the event. Trust me, standing around at Paddington station due to multiple train cancellations afterward felt like a mini-marathon itself! By the time I made it onto the packed train home, I was ready to collapse.

To add a bit more fun to the exhaustion, I discovered I’d inadvertently broken my home internet after experimenting with pi-hole and configuring it as a DHCP server. Rookie mistake—I didn’t reserve the router IP address. Thankfully, one network reset later, everything was back in working order. Looks like I’ve got a weekend project lined up!

Despite the tiredness and tech mishaps, the event was undoubtedly a success. If we missed each other at Oracle Cloud World, don’t worry—I’ll find you next time and speed up your Oracle analysis personally!
